Presentation: Preventing Distracted Driving Among College Students
-with Shriner Hospitals for Children and the Portes Foundation
The Distracted Driving Workshop (“workshop”) will focus on educating college students about the dangers of distracted driving and the limits of the multi-tasking brain. To engage this particular audience, the workshop will be delivered through the use of interactive presentations, educational materials, demonstrations, and activities.
The ultimate goal of this educational approach is to shift the behavior of college age students when they get behind the wheel of a car.
A second objective is for participants to influence the behavior of their peers, both for their own safety (as passengers in a vehicle) but for the safety of others as well.
