About Jennifer Jamison

Jennifer Zamora-Jamison is an Aviation Weather Specialist with Lockheed Martin. She received her weather observer training in the U.S. Army. Following her 14 years of military duty she received Aviation Flight Service training at the FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. Lockheed Martin relocated Jennifer from Southern California to North Central Texas in January 2007. August 26, 2007 marked a life altering change for Jennifer and her family. On this day Jennifer's spouse of 14 years, SSG Javier Zamora, was killed in a distracted driving collision on a California highway. Jennifer's grief propelled her to become an outspoken advocate for legislation to protect drivers, passengers and pedestrians as well as expand judicial repercussion for those responsible of inflicting harm and damage in distracted driving collisions. Through her efforts she has participated in the USAA Distracted Driving Awareness Summit on the Victim Impact Panel, become a voice in the Texas Coalition of Distracted Driving Victims and founded the non-profit Decide2Drive. Jennifer has re-married and currently resides in North Central Texas with her very supportive husband, their grand daughter and two dogs, Ryuku and Mooi.
